Copyright & DMCA / Rights Complaint Policy — Video2Download.com
Last Updated: [18/08/2026]
Video2Download respects the intellectual-property rights of creators, copyright owners and other rights holders.
This Copyright & DMCA / Rights Complaint Policy explains how rights holders can notify us of concerns relating to content or activity associated with Video2Download.com.
Video2Download is a technical service that processes URLs submitted by users. We do not intentionally operate a permanent library of third-party videos or claim ownership of content located on third-party platforms.
1. Our Position on Copyright
Video2Download does not authorize users to infringe copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with applicable law and that they have the necessary rights, permission, license or other lawful basis to download, reproduce, store, modify or use content.
The ability to technically process a URL does not mean that the underlying content is authorized for downloading or reuse.
2. Third-Party Content
Video2Download generally does not host, publish or select the third-party videos that users submit through the Service.
Content may originate from independent third-party websites and platforms.
Video2Download does not necessarily have control over:
- The content available at third-party URLs
- The person who uploaded the content
- The copyright ownership of that content
- The availability of the content
- The permissions associated with the content
If you believe your copyrighted work is being unlawfully distributed or made available through a third-party platform, you may also need to submit a complaint directly to that platform.
3. DMCA Notices
For users and rights holders in jurisdictions where the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) applies, we may accept copyright notices that contain the information required by applicable law.
A valid copyright notice should generally include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material or activity and information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate it.
- Your contact information, such as:
- Full name
- Address
- Telephone number, where appropriate
- Email address
- A good-faith statement that you believe the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement of accuracy and authority, confirming that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, where applicable.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may not provide sufficient information for us to investigate or take appropriate action.

Do not send passwords, payment information or other unnecessary sensitive information.
5. What Happens After We Receive a Complaint
When we receive a sufficiently detailed complaint, we may review the information provided and determine what action, if any, is appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- Request additional information;
- Investigate the reported URL or activity;
- Restrict access to a specific URL or functionality;
- Take technical measures where reasonably possible;
- Contact the relevant user or service provider;
- Remove or restrict material that we directly control, where applicable;
- Refer the complainant to the relevant third-party platform;
- Take other action required or permitted by applicable law.
Because Video2Download is primarily a technical URL-processing service and does not intentionally maintain a permanent library of third-party videos, we may not be able to remove content that is hosted entirely on another platform.
6. Important Limitation Regarding Third-Party Platforms
If a video is hosted on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Vimeo, Dailymotion or another third-party platform, Video2Download may not control the original content.
In such circumstances, a rights holder may need to submit a copyright complaint directly to the platform hosting the content.
Video2Download cannot guarantee that a third-party platform will remove or restrict content following a complaint submitted to us.
7. Repeat Infringement and Abuse
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may take measures against users or sources that repeatedly use the Service in connection with unlawful copyright infringement or other rights violations.
Depending on the circumstances, measures may include:
- Restricting access;
- Blocking abusive requests;
- Limiting certain functionality;
- Taking reasonable technical measures;
- Terminating access to the Service.
We reserve the right to determine appropriate measures based on the circumstances and applicable law.
8. False or Fraudulent Complaints
Copyright complaints must be submitted in good faith.
Knowingly submitting false, misleading or fraudulent copyright complaints may result in legal consequences.
You should not submit a complaint merely to prevent lawful use of content, harass another person, or interfere with legitimate activity.
Rights holders should ensure that the information supplied in a complaint is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.
9. Counter-Notifications
Where applicable law provides a formal counter-notification process, a person affected by a valid copyright complaint may submit an appropriate counter-notification.
A counter-notification may need to include information required by the applicable law, including identification of the material, contact information, required statements and an appropriate signature.
We may process counter-notifications where applicable and may provide them to the complaining party where required or permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that a counter-notification will result in restoration of access.
10. Other Intellectual-Property Rights
This policy also applies, where appropriate, to complaints involving rights other than copyright, including:
- Trademark rights;
- Personality/publicity rights;
- Privacy rights;
- Rights of publicity;
- Other intellectual-property rights.
Complaints concerning these rights should clearly identify the right allegedly affected and provide sufficient information for us to understand the complaint.
11. Privacy and Personal Information
When submitting a copyright complaint, you should provide only the information reasonably necessary to investigate the complaint.
Information submitted to us may be processed for:
- Investigating the complaint;
- Communicating with the complainant;
- Responding to legal requests;
- Preventing abuse;
- Protecting our legal rights;
- Complying with applicable law.
Personal information submitted through a complaint may be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. No Guarantee of Immediate Action
We aim to review legitimate complaints within a reasonable period.
However, we do not guarantee:
- Immediate response;
- Immediate removal;
- Removal of third-party content;
- Restoration following a counter-notification;
- A particular outcome.
The appropriate response depends on the facts, available technical information, applicable law and whether the relevant content or activity is actually within our control.
13. Content Hosted by Third Parties
If the alleged infringement occurs on a third-party website, the most effective complaint may be directed to the provider hosting the material.
Video2Download does not control third-party websites and cannot guarantee that content hosted elsewhere will be removed.
14. No Ownership Claim
Video2Download does not claim ownership of videos, images, audio, text or other material available through third-party URLs.
All copyrights and other rights remain with their respective owners.
15. User Responsibility
Users remain solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with copyright and other applicable laws.
Nothing in this policy grants users permission to download or use copyrighted material without authorization.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Copyright & DMCA / Rights Complaint Policy from time to time.
The latest version will be published on this page, together with the applicable “Last Updated” date.
